It is a university and cathedral city in the south east of Wales.
Located on the River Usk not far from Cardiff and is Wales’s third largest city.
Newport has been a port since the medieval times when the first castle was built by the Normans.
In 2002 Newport became a city and hosted the Ryder Cup 2010.
As Newport is one of the four sides from Wales to compete in the Guinness Pro14 it has had some big names play for the club.

Former Irish Coach Declan Kidney coached before his Munster days and former Irish player Bernard Jackman was also in charge.
